Cheese Straws Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 Cup Flour

1/2 tsp Salt

1/3 Cup Butter

2 1/2 tbs Cold Water

1/2 tsp Ginger Powdered

4 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese

1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

1/4 Cup Sesame Seeds Toasted

Method:

Gather all of your ingredients before you begin cooking. Also, make sure to clean out your food processor before you start this cooking endeavour.

Place flour, ginger and salt in a food processor.

Then cut butter into small cubes and add it to processor then blend until pastry resembles coarse meal.

Add finely shredded cheese and sesame seeds and process until just blended.

Add Worcestershire to the water and sprinkle over flour mixture.

Then process until the dough is moistened and holds together when you pinch it with your fingers.

Gather the dough into a ball on a lightly floured board, and roll out until it is 1/8 inch thick.

Cut into strips 3 inches long and 1 1/2 inch wide.

Freeze the unbaked dough on baking sheets.

Do not thaw before baking.

Bake the Cheese Straws on un-greased sheet at 400 degrees until lightly browned and crisp.
