1 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/3 Cup Butter
2 1/2 tbs Cold Water
1/2 tsp Ginger Powdered
4 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Cup Sesame Seeds Toasted
Method:
1. Place flour, ginger and salt in food processor then
cut butter into small cubes and add to processor then blend until pastry
resembles coarse meal.
2. Add finely shredded cheese and sesame seeds and
process until just blended. Add Worcestershire to water and sprinkle over
flour mixture then process until dough is moistened and holds together when
pinched with fingers.
3. Gather dough into a ball on lightly floured board, and
roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into strips 3 inches long and 1 1/2 inch
wide.
4. Freeze unbaked dough on baking sheets. Do not thaw
before baking. Bake the Cheese Straws on un-greased sheet at 400 degrees
until lightly browned and crisp.
