Traditional Scone Recipe:

Ingredients:

4 Cups of Self Raising Flour

2 Tablespoon of Icing Sugar

1 Teaspoon of Salt

1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder

60g Margarine

200ml of Milk

200ml Water

Method:

1. Firstly sift the dry ingredients together and place in a medium mixing bowl. Melt the margarine in a pan over a low heat then add the water and the milk.

2. Pour into the bowl with the dry ingredients reserving a small amount for glazing. Blend together and then knead on your clean worktop until you have a nice stiff mixture.

3. Once you have the correct mixture cut into round shapes and place them on a baking tray. Cook your scones for 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 230c.
